The All Star Game is played at mid-season each year. Before the A.P.B.A.L. split into two divisions this contest pitted
the teams in the upper half of the standings at the half way mark against the teams at the bottom of the standings. The game
now matches the all stars from the Wasatch and Oquirrh Divisions.
Game sites were chosen at random until 1980. Beginning that year the site was selected by news worthiness at the
time of the contest. Year by year locations and results:

swinging affair with lots of fireworks in a contest that was well attended by local law enforcement officials.
1989

A small crowd attended the game as there seemed to be a general uneasiness expressed
by U.S. fans when the topic of flying to Locherbie was brought up. The Oquirrh Division battled back from a 6-0 deficit to
tie the contest in the 8th inning and the two divisions then went into the 12th before the Wasatch Division prevailed. Mark
McGwire was the MVP with 2 homers and 5 RBI.

David Bell's 2 run homer in the 7th.
